Swim Lesson Levels.
-
A’s (8-14 years)
up to 2 kids/lesson
A’s are completely comfortable getting their head and face wet. They are swimming across the deep end without help. Getting toys off the bottom of the deep end and practicing all 4 strokes. This level is about stroke work and putting things together we’ve learned in the other levels. For example, diving into the pool and doing a lap of freestyle with a flip turn. They are water safe and I’m comfortable with them being in bodies of water by themselves.
-
B's (6-9 years)
up to 2 kids/lesson
B’s are comfortable getting their head and face wet with most things we do in class. They are doing most of the class in the shallow end and are starting to do deep end things with assistance. They are still practicing how to get to the side of the pool and lift themselves out if they ever fell in. They are becoming water safe but need to be watched closely.
-
C's (4-6 years)
up to 2 kids/lesson
This level is all about the building blocks, pool safety and taking cues. C’s are not as comfortable getting their head and face wet. Most of class time is spent getting comfortable, putting our goggles in the water looking at toys, becoming water safe by monkey crawling around the pool to a shallow part and pulling themselves out on their own, knowing how to get onto their back and float so they can breathe until an adult comes, and if they can do streamlines then swimming to the side of the pool. They are not water safe and need to be accompanied at all times.
-
Little C's (3 years)
up to 2 kids/lesson
Little C’s are taking lessons on their own for the first time with the instructor. The previous lessons to Little C’s are mommy & me. We are learning to get comfortable wearing goggles, practicing safe exits out of the pool on their own in case an adult isn’t around, back floats and front floats, and putting our goggles in the water with blowing bubbles to get toys. We are practicing being A+ listeners and following directions. They are not water safe and need to be accompanied at all times.
-
Mommy & Me (6 months -3 years)
up to 3 mommies/lesson
This level is all about water safety, taking cues, having fun and making it through class without crying. We are singing songs, learning how to climb out of the pool, monkey crawling on the side of the pool to safety, blowing bubbles, assisted back floats and assisted front floats. They are not water safe and need to be accompanied at all times.
