We are so excited to be offering make up lessons as of July 2023 and we hope you are too! We understand that learning a new system can be confusing, so after reading this page, if you still have questions, please email alivia@lessonsfromalifeguard.com. This policy might not be the forever system, but for now, it is the one we have landed on. Thank you for being patient with us!

Most importantly, lessons need to be canceled 24 hours before your next lesson. Otherwise, make ups are not available.

Step 1. Go to the register page and scroll down to the calendars

Step 2. Look at the make up calendar description and check if make ups are in privates or groups that month

Step 3. If make ups are in groups then head over to the level descriptions to check what level your child is in

Step 4. Register!

It is the families responsibility to go to the register page and schedule the make up lesson. Make up lessons are not customizable. Make up lessons are offered in the gaps of the schedule. The dates and times we offer are the dates and times available. Make up lessons will be in groups if there are a lot of requests for make ups that month.

Most families ask for 2+ make up lessons per month, and that adds up! The only way to make that many make up lessons doable, is to put groups together. Make up lessons have 3 kids max in them. This is to ensure every kid is getting something out of the lesson.

You can always try to catch a make up lesson in the next month! The make up lessons times/days change month to month. Make up lessons are based on first come first serve basis. If you miss make up lessons one month you can always try for availability the following month. Make up lessons can be redeemed for the entire year.

24 hours. Anything less and an administrator will cancel it.

There will be a chance for make up lessons! It might be in privates if the demand is low, and in groups if the demand is high. Thank you for understanding!

Unfortunately, make up lessons will not be offered. Cancelling right before your lesson or not showing up makes it impossible to fill in that now empty slot. On top of our Instructors have to sit and wait because they are not sure if you’re coming or not. And that’s no fun!
