*Please read everything* We are so excited to be offering make up lessons as of July 2023 and we hope you are too! If you still have questions, please email alivia@lessonsfromalifeguard.com. This policy might not be the forever system, but for now, it is the one we have landed on. Thank you for being patient with us!

Most importantly, lessons need to be canceled 24 hours before your next lesson. Otherwise, make ups are not available. This is crucial so that I can fill in the gaps of canceled lessons with other people who need make ups, and keep the make up lessons going. Also, to ensure that make up lessons are not piling up to the last month of the swim school season, only 2 make ups a month will be allowed for each family. Lastly, I reserve the right to cancel lessons with no refund if someone no shows after 2 times.

Step 1. Go to the register page and scroll down to the calendars

Step 2. Look at the available times and days. Email alivia@lessonsfromalifeguard.com the preferred time and day you’d like a make up lesson. If there are no available days, please email with at least two different times and days you can do a make up swim lesson. Note that lessons aren’t available Wednesday’s and Sundays.

Step 3. Please head to level descriptions to check what level your child is in. Then you’ll find the make up lesson calendar on the register page.

Step 4. Register!

It is the families responsibility to go to the register page and figure out what days they can do make ups, and then email to get it finalized.

Plain and simple, please don’t bring them if they are acutely sick. Instructors not getting sick is a big part of the schedule running smoothly.

Most families ask for 2+ make up lessons per month, and that adds up! Some years the request for make up lessons is so high that we have to put kids into group lesson make ups. It becomes the existing schedule times two if there are that many make up lessons as privates. I reserve the right to group together kids for make ups at any time if the demand gets too high. Make up lessons have 3 kids max in them. This is to ensure every kid is getting something out of the lesson.

You can always try to catch a make up lesson in the next month! The make up lessons times/days change month to month. Make up lessons are based on first come first serve basis. If you miss make up lessons one month you can always try for availability the following month. Make up lessons can be redeemed for up to 1 year.
